Expect to be a loyal tenant but not getting the same in return. The hot tub does not work for months at a time, and there are random days where it doesn’t work. They are renovating the grill area but it’s taking weeks when originally should have taken 5 days. There are several tenants who give the community a weird vibe. They like to reserve the amenities and kick others out immediately after entering but expect you to hold the elevator for them. This ownership of this building is unethical. They won’t give any credits for the amenities not being available and they charge trash valet fees forcing tenants to go with the way they want things done. They certainly only care about making money but not providing the quality they promised when signing the lease. I can go on and on but I’m sure there are better communities out there.

The standard apartment was very clean and well maintained when I toured, with modern amenities that really stood out. Breeze gave me an amazing tour—she was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and made the whole process stress-free. She was also very nice, genuine, and lively, which made the experience even better. I appreciated how present she was and how thoroughly she answered my questions. Honestly, Breeze was a big part of why I left with such a positive impression. Olga and Paola were also very kind and helpful, and overall the leasing office team is incredible.

Love the gym, the game room and the barbecue area. Also, every time we need, we can count on the leasig office team. Really great place to live!

The Standard is the most INCREDIBLE apartment complex to move into, especially if you are new to the bay area. These apartments are central to San Jose, extremely secure, full of social spaces, and surrounded by the kindest people in the bay! The absolute HIGHLIGHT of living here is most definitely the kind and well organized leasing staff. Breeze gave my boyfriend and I our first ever tour of the place. Even though we called on the spot, she accommodated us into her schedule. She walked us through the application process and was genuinely transparent on all fees that we would need to consider. After moving in, whenever we needed any sort of assistance, she would jump to her feet and help us with the biggest smile on her face. Olga has been another staff member that has been so crucial to the ease of our move in process. I’ve been to the leasing office frequently with endless questions about accessing amenities or learning how to put in work orders and she patiently would walk me through those processes. Even when I desperately needed help while setting up a surprise rooftop birthday party for my boyfriend, Olga helped me out near the end of her shift and was such a lifesaver in helping me pull it off! After living in other apartment locations, I can say whole heartedly that the incredible service of the staff here is TOP TIER! There is so much peace to this place, I love it! If you’re considering moving here this is your sign 🙂‍↕️

I am quite late to review but I toured this property about a month ago. This is a nice place, with good amenities and also very close to good restaurants which is a huge plus. However, I want to give a shout out to Breeze. This is one of the best leasing agents I have ever met. She is friendly, nice and very helpful. The biggest green flag however is the fact that she seemed to know most of the residents there and were on very good terms with them, checking on them and their family which is unheard of. The other girl working there was also very nice, but unfortunately, I forgot their name. I would have loved to give her a shoutout as well, along with Breeze. I almost went ahead with this place however, I got a better deal at the last moment at a place closer to my work, so I ended up not choosing this place. I would however still recommend this place to anyone who asks.

I love the Standard Apartments. The amenities are awesome. Security is top notch! And the staff has been so helpful, especially Bree, she did our walk-thru and ever since day one she has helped us with everything we ever need. She has always gone above and beyond and has a beautiful attitude. Thank you Bree!!

The Standard is a luxury apartment complex in a not so luxury area. Not quite in "Willow Glen" as advertised, this complex (along with the nearby ones) serve as a perfect target for theft which is a MASSIVE problem here. I don't know the specifics but it feels as though there are multiple people with key fob entry who come in at night and free reign on what they want to take. Other reviewers have already went over their experiences, the mailbox and the bike thing but I'd like to add mine 1. BIKE ROOM - NOV 2020 Just to reiterate with the bike room incident: it's inside the building and someone walked away with literally 10-15+ bikes. Like, they almost cleaned out the room. This was the only time I've seen management take immediate action 2. STORAGE UNIT - NOV/DEC 2020 I rent a storage room from the complex, it's an unmarked door at the end of my hallway. I used to have two bikes in there until one day I went into it and saw they were gone. Upon closer inspection, I saw crowbar marks showing forced entry (uploaded pic). Told office, they did nothing. ONE WEEK later I check on my room again, and my stuff was rifled through a SECOND time. Out of curiosity, I walked around and looked at all the other storage rooms in our complex, and to my surprise 8 of the 10 I saw had crowbar marks near the handle So I call the leasing office like hey, can we do something about this? I also informed them what I found, and I suggested they send out an email so everyone else can go check on their stuff. Well after following up like 3 more times, they finally did something. They installed a plate on the door so it can't be propped open. On ONLY MY DOOR. And they never sent an email. (So if you're a current resident and have a storage room, go check on your things) 3. MOTORCYCLES - FEB 2021 In October, my girlfriend and I got our first motorcycles. Within the first few days, I found a note on mine from another resident warning me that *one week prior* their motorcycle got stolen from the garage along with one other one. I thought wow that's unfortunate, and I'll get a disc brake lock to keep mine safe Well 3 months later, both of our motorcycles get stolen too! Leasing office just gives their "sorry" and that's pretty much it. Four cameras pointing at every entrance to the garage and they can't find footage of two motorcycles getting stolen ----- I've only lived here for 6 months and I've witnessed too much. Almost everyone I've spoken to in the hallways has had their car broken into or something stolen. It sucks to get anyone to do something about it, you gotta neg them. I shouldn't have to call and beg them to do something to protect my property here. Not once were they like "wow, let me see what I can do to try to prevent this from happening again." I assume they're just so used to it now from things getting constantly stolen that it's just a note in some folder somewher TL:DR; I do not recommend living here, or at least make sure your renters insurance policy
